On today's podcast episode, the hosts are diving back into movies. It's where the nerdy sides can really come out. Each person gets to pick three actors, and everything that person has ever been on screen in gets to be accessible on their deserted island.
Mitch's Desert Island Actor Filmographies
Harrison Ford
He played Indiana Jones, appeared in the original Star Wars trilogy, and even had a deleted scene in E.T. Other favorites include What Lies Beneath, The Fugitive, Shrinking, Air Force One, and even a Marvel movie. Everyone definitely agreed on this one.
Amy Adams
Mitch wanted at least one woman in his lineup. He loves Wedding Date, Muppets, Vice, and Catch Me if You Can. Justin added the limited series, Sharp Objects, as one of her best roles. Justin's argument is that she's a better actress than the movies that she's in. This was a split opinion.

Tom Cruise
While Cruise might be a bit of an issue personally, Mitch stands behind his excellent filmography. From Top Gun to Mission Impossible to Austin Powers: Goldmember, you'll have a well-rounded collection of films. In recent years, he's been just printing money with Mission Impossible movies. Tropic Thunder shows that he can even be funny sometimes. Justin also highly recommends his role in Rock of Ages because he's hilarious.

Justin's Desert Island Actor Filmographies
Robert DeNiro
Bobby D has played some of Justin's absolute favorite characters of all time. Even if he only got the movies he's done with Scorsese, he'd be happy. The progression throughout his career is something that Justin loves so much. In more recent years, he's taken on more comedic roles. A few movies on the shortlist are Backdraft, Cape Fear, Sleepers, and Meet the Parents. With such a long career, the deserted island will have plenty of movies to choose from.
Emma Stone
With two Oscars and seven nominations, Emma Stone has quite a variety of films and characters. She has the shortest filmography of Justin's picks, but there are still plenty of things that he loves. Easy A and House Bunny are two earlier ones that should not be slept on. After the lip sync battle she did on The Tonight Show, she cemented herself as one of Justin's favorites.

Samuel L. Jackson
He's the actor who has been in everything. From small roles in Coming to America, Jurassic Park, and Star Wars to leading roles in Pulp Fiction and 187, he covers every genre and multiple decades. There are even two fantastic animated movies, The Incredibles and its sequel. With the Marvel movies alone, there will be hours and hours of films to dive into. Plus, he has some of the craziest death scenes.
Alex's Desert Island Actor Filmographies
Brad Pitt
Alex writes this off as a typical bro pick, but he has so many incredible films under his belt. He hasn't taken his foot off the gas yet with F1 just coming out last year. Alex loves the Ocean's 11 movies. There are a few movies discussed with mixed feelings, like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but even that Alex would watch if stranded on an island.
John C. Reilly
Reilly is an excellent character actor with quite a few credits in Scorsese and Paul Thomas Anderson movies. His comedic run is unbelievably good. He has no award credits, but he is one of only two people who have racked up nominations for an Emmy, a Tony, a Grammy, and an Oscar without winning any. The guys really missed a lot of his movies during the comedy episode.
Bill Hader
Alex wants to laugh more on his island, so he picked Bill Hader. This allows him to bring over 100 SNL episodes to his island. With appearances in many hilarious movies over the last two decades, there are so many comedies that are a little less mainstream. He is also a great voice actor with credits in many different movies.
Final Thoughts on Desert Island Actor Filmographies
Quick fact check: Mitch said Jacob Elordi is confirmed as the next James Bond, but the studio hasn't confirmed it yet.
The guys agreed that Alex's island would be the best to escape to because of the comedies that he would have available. Alex picked Justin's because he likes Emma Stone's comedies more than anyone else on Mitch's island, but he would also get Jurassic Park.
In the listener feedback section, Justin lit up his family text chain and got some feedback from his parents, siblings, and nieces. Some of the best picks include Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon, John Travolta, Julia Roberts, Ryan Reynolds, Ryan Gosling, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Stay tuned next week for a little travel exploration.
